Ativan 2mg (lorazepam 2mg) belongs to a class of medication called Benzodizepines. It is thought that Benzodizepines works with enhancing activity of certain neuro-transmitters in the brain. Ativan is used in tablets and helps to treat insomnia which is cause by anxiety or with any temporary situational stress. It is sometimes use to treat nausea and vomiting from the cancer treatment and it also controls agitation which is cause by alcohol withdrawal.
